I’ve taken my time to write this review because the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Sailing through Ithaca, retracing the steps of Odysseus, was already a dream come true, but the crew—Menios and Dasos—elevated this journey to something magical. Their warmth, humility, and profound knowledge of the area made this trip feel deeply personal and unforgettable. Imagine this: you’re gliding across the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea, with a soft breeze guiding you past sun-drenched islands. The air is fragrant with the scent of salt and pine, and the sun casts a golden glow on the cliffs of Ithaca. But the true highlight? The incredible food and drink that punctuated our journey. The lamb, cooked by Menios’s mother, was a revelation—tender, succulent, and infused with the flavors of Greece. Paired with local wine and a prosecco so unique it instantly became my favorite (and I live in Northern Italy!), the meals were an experience in themselves. Each sip and bite felt like a tribute to the rich culinary heritage of the region. As we sailed back to port, Menios and Dasos unfurled the sails, and I was completely awe-struck. The boat sliced through the water with a graceful speed, and for a moment, it felt like time itself had slipped away. It wasn’t just a sail; it was a journey back through the ages, to a simpler, more connected time. And then, as if the day couldn’t get any better, we were taken to a mostly private island. Picture this: a rustic table set right on the dock, with the gentle waves lapping at the shore and the sun beginning to dip into the horizon. My wife, who had always been somewhat indifferent to my love for Greece, was utterly enchanted. The whole day, from start to finish, was nothing short of magical, and she’s now as in love with Greece as I am. Menios and his first-mate are kind, polite, good cooks, and know what they are doing, even though their company is quite new. We were only 6 people, and stopped at two beaches on Itaca, plus they has quite a special-surprise lunch for us, as well as snacks and drinks onboard all day, and snorkelling and paddleboard gear. As for constructive feedback, I would be happier if they were more guides well, if they could explain more stories and myths about Ithaca, Odysseus and so on (after all, this is Itaca!) That would make it feel more worth the fairly pricey cost (though to be fair, the other similar boat leaving from this port is the same price), compared to similar boat trips on other Greek islands. Finally, perhaps 3 stops would be better than two long ones. read less

Menios and Dasos were fabulous company providing first class food and drink and answered all our many questions. The location we sailed towards stunning and perfect for both the paddle boards and snorkeling.The five of us we're all new to paddle boarding and had so much fun mastering it. The wind was good to us on the way back to Agia efimia so we managed to use the sails. A beautiful boat with wonderful hosts ....we'll be back. read less

We were greeted by Menios and Dassos at the harbourside where we were made to feel welcome. Our day included 2 snorkelling and paddle boarding stops where we were free to explore at our leisure. We were treated to a delicious lunch served at a shaded table under a gazebo at the edge of the ocean. Drinks were free flowing throughout the day and Menios and Dassos proved to be knowledgable and friendly guides. We are lucky to have travelled a lot and this is by far the best boat trip we have been on. Would highly recommend. read less

Un giro in barca a vela con 2 tappe per fare il bagno nelle limpide acque di Itaca con spuntini e bevande illimitate. Per il pranzo, dopo aver ormeggiato in un piccolo porticciolo, hanno montato un piccolo gazebo e ci hanno preparato un ottimo pasto caldo. Se volete evitare le barche grosse con 120/150 persone e vivere un'esperienza più "intima"( massimo 6 ospiti) ve lo consiglio vivamente. Σε ευχαριστούμε πολύ Μένιο, να'σαι πάντα καλά. read less

We took the 8 hour cruise leaving Agia Efimia port in the morning returning at 5 in the afternoon On leaving the port the Captain explained the plan for the day over tea/ coffe and snacks We then headed out under sail towards Itaka , the coastline was spectacular . The Crew were very informative pointing out so much along the way Our first stop was at a deserted beach swimming in the clear water watching the small fish pass underneath was a delight On returning to the boat the crew had prepared for us a choice of refreshing fruit juices ice tea and soft drinks etc Next stop while the crew prepared lunch we took the opertunity to snorkel and sunbathe . Lunch was plentiful freshly prepared and washed down with lovely local wine the day passed in a very relaxed way I'm sure the chilled local wine and beer helped The extras added to our comfort we were able to change our swimwear in the cabin and it was so easy to get in and out of the sea Great value for money we will return to Kefalonia in September and already this trip is on our " to do " list I want to say thanks to Kapitano Menios and First Mate Photis read less

We left at 9 am to have a very pleasant day, they served starters, there was beer, wine, water and lemonade on board. We stopped to enjoy a good time on Ilha Ítaca, a peaceful and beautiful place. Then we went to the second stop where we were served a beautiful traditional Greek lunch, in another place as beautiful as the other. It was a very special day, I will not forget it. read less

The boat was fully equipped for our needs and the crew, Menios and Fotis were really friendly, helpful and informative. We stopped for swimming and lunch in a couple of beautiful locations. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. There was a great variety of drink on board and plenty of it.
